12-month installation workmanship cover
Bromley Borough Electrical offers a 12-month workmanship warranty from the completion date of electrical installation work performed by our team. This additional promise covers defects caused by how we carried out that installation. Keep your invoice or completion documents so we can identify the job.
What we will put right
If you report a covered defect during the warranty period, we will assess the installation and arrange the corrective work needed to remedy our workmanship without charging you for that assessment or corrective labour. We will discuss access and a suitable appointment with you. Any unrelated work will be explained and priced separately before you authorise it.
What falls outside this warranty
This workmanship promise does not cover a product failing independently of our installation, existing wiring faults outside our agreed work, or damage caused by misuse, accidents or failure to follow appropriate maintenance instructions. Work by another contractor is excluded only to the extent that it causes or contributes to the fault; an unrelated alteration does not automatically remove your cover.
Materials and manufacturer warranties
Products may have separate manufacturer warranties with their own conditions and claim procedures. We can help identify the product and relevant warranty information. If we supplied a faulty product, your legal rights against us remain available; you are not required to rely solely on a manufacturer warranty. Problems caused by incorrect installation remain workmanship matters.
Standards and your legal rights
Our electrical installation work is undertaken with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with applicable wiring requirements. This warranty is additional to your statutory rights, including any rights to repeat performance, a price reduction or other remedies where applicable. Those rights are not restricted to the 12-month warranty period.
How to report a problem
Contact us using the phone or email below. Include your name, installation address, completion date or invoice reference, and a description of the fault. Photos taken safely can help us assess the issue. We will investigate and explain the next steps. If there are signs of immediate danger, stop using the affected equipment and seek urgent assistance; do not remove electrical covers or attempt a repair yourself.
